Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is recruiting a Senior Engineer for a 16-month contract on large industrial, logistics or commercial construction projects. You will lead on-site engineering activities, set out, review drawings and coordinate with subcontractors to support the project team.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree (or HNC/HND), a valid CSCS card, and proven experience delivering QA procedures, ITPs and temporary works.

Qualifications

• Experience on large industrial, logistics or commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, steel frame and external works.
• Experience managing QA procedures and ITPs.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Proficient with Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site engineering activities, including setting out and technical support.
• Review and coordinate drawings, specifications and design information.
• Oversee quality assurance procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and temporary works.
• Produce and maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
• Monitor quality standards across all engineering activities.
• Support the Site and Project Management team with technical expertise.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors and resolve technical issues on site.
