Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineer for a nine-month contract on major steel frame and groundworks projects. The role requires leading on-site engineering, coordinating drawings and QA processes, and maintaining accurate site records.

You will oversee ITPs and temporary works, ensure compliance with project specs, and coordinate subcontractors while promoting safety and quality across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience on large industrial, logistics or commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, steel frame and external works.
• Experience managing QA procedures and ITPs.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Proficient with Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site engineering activities, including setting out and technical support.
• Review and coordinate drawings, specifications and design information.
• Oversee QA procedures, ITPs and temporary works.
• Produce and maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
• Monitor quality standards across all engineering activities.
• Support the Site and Project Management team with technical expertise.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors and resolve technical issues on site.
