Job summary

Fusion People Ltd. in Manchester seeks a Site Engineer (Geologist / Ground Investigations) to supervise and manage on-site teams on small to medium geotechnical ground investigation projects.

You will log rock and soil samples from boreholes and trial pits and carry out field testing and surveying, ensuring technical, commercial and HSEQ compliance. The role requires a Geology or Earth Sciences degree and 12-18 months site investigation contracting experience, plus strong communication skills,

Essential Requirements

12-18 months site investigation contracting experience

Role Summary

A Site Engineer is required to join a Ground Investigation contractor on a permanent basis in Manchester. You will be supervising and managing teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects on site, ensuring compliance in a technical, commercial, and HSEQ sense. You will also be responsible for logging rock and soil samples (such as boreholes and trial pits) and carrying out field testing and surveying, among other requirements.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate must be qualified to degree level in a related field (such as Geology or Earth Sciences) and a minimum of 12-18 months site investigation contracting experience
• The client is seeking an individual with a contractor background, including hands-on field experience, who is also comfortable supporting junior engineers
• You must also hold strong communication and organisational skills, be proficient with MS office and have a full UK driving license, as the role will require travel to various sites
