Job summary

Morson Edge in Leeds is seeking a Senior Engineer to oversee civil/site works and ensure high standards of health, safety and quality on challenging projects. The role involves setting out, surveying, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining rigorous site documentation.

The successful candidate will have extensive site engineering experience, a Civil Engineering qualification, and a proven track record with Airfield works. A clean UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer.
• Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering.
• Expertise in setting out and surveying.
• Experience delivering Airfield works projects.
• Ability to obtain an Airside Pass (Basic Disclosure).
• Five-year checkable work history for security clearance.
• Clean UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Site Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.
• Interpret and review project drawings and specifications.
• Perform setting out and surveying on-site.
• Supervise and manage site works, labour, plant, and subcontractors.
• Maintain detailed site diaries.
• Manage material orders and ensure timely delivery to support project progress.
• Prepare daily and weekly work plans, assist with Risk Assessments, Work Package Plans, and Inspection Test Plans.
• Oversee the performance and coordination of subcontractors and site engineers as required.
