Job summary

Pure Engineering Services Ltd is recruiting a Senior HVAC / Heat Pump Engineer for a predominantly site-based role in London. You will own complex Daikin Altherma and VRV/VRF installations, diagnose faults, and coordinate repairs across the residential development and PES client sites.

You will need strong diagnostic skills, experience with hydronic systems, and the ability to interpret technical information. A UK resident with a willingness to travel to client sites is preferred.

Qualifications

• Daikin Altherma systems experience required.
• Daikin VRV/VRF systems experience required.
• Strong hydronic heating/cooling circuit knowledge.
• Proficient in pumps, pressurisation units and expansion vessels.
• Experience with flow and circulation issues and venting.
• Knowledge of water quality and system cleanliness.
• Strong refrigerant circuit knowledge.
• Electrical fault finding skills essential.
• Experience with HVAC controls and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Attend primary London site for day-to-day engineering attendance.
• Reactive fault finding and diagnosis of HVAC issues.
• Planned preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Investigate recurring and intermittent faults and provide long-term solutions.
• Diagnose refrigerant, electrical, controls and water-side issues.
• Repair or replace failed components as required.
• Liaise with site management, residents and PES management team.
• Produce clear and detailed engineering reports.

Senior Site-Based HVAC / Heat Pump Engineer (LONDON)

£50,000–£60,000 DOE + Company Vehicle + Fuel Card + Overtime + Benefits

Pure Engineering Services Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Senior HVAC / Heat Pump Engineer to join our service and maintenance team.

This will be a predominantly site-based role at a major residential development in London, where the successful engineer will take day-to-day technical ownership of a complex HVAC installation incorporating

Daikin Altherma heat pump systems, Daikin VRV/VRF equipment and associated hydronic circuits

There will also be a requirement to attend other PES client sites when required, providing technical support, fault finding and engineering cover across our wider portfolio.

We are looking for a technically strong engineer who is comfortable diagnosing complex faults, understanding how different parts of a system interact and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.

• Strong practical experience with Daikin Altherma systems
• Strong experience with Daikin VRV / VRF systems
• Detailed understanding of hydronic heating and cooling circuits
• Pumps, pressurisation units and expansion vessels
• Flow and circulation issues
• Air removal and system venting
• Water quality and system cleanliness
• Fault finding on sealed heating and chilled water circuits
• Strong refrigerant circuit knowledge
• Strong electrical fault-finding ability
• HVAC controls and communication systems
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and manufacturers' technical information
• F-Gas Category 1
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

The role will include:

• Day-to-day engineering attendance at the primary London site
• Reactive fault finding and diagnosis
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Investigation of recurring and intermittent faults
• Diagnosis of refrigerant, electrical, controls and water-side issues
• Repair and replacement of failed components
• Liaison with site management, residents and the PES management team
• Producing clear and detailed engineering reports
• Working with manufacturers and specialist technical support where required
• Supporting other PES client sites when needed
• Taking ownership of faults from initial diagnosis through to satisfactory resolution

This role is particularly suited to an engineer who is diagnostically minded.

We are not looking for somebody who simply completes maintenance checks and moves on to the next job. We need an engineer who enjoys investigating difficult faults, understanding why systems are failing and identifying the correct long-term solution rather than simply changing components.
