Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a highly capable silicon photonics engineer to drive the design of PIC-based optical integrated circuits, spanning architecture, simulation and tape-out collaboration. The role focuses on high-speed optical links and photonic device optimization within foundry environments.

You will lead WDM architecture decisions, work with AWGs, micro-rings and filters, and model loss, crosstalk and thermal effects to ensure robust silicon validation and first-silicon sign-off.

Qualifications

• Strong silicon photonics and PIC design background demonstrated by project work.
• Experience with PIC tape-outs and working with foundry PDKs is essential.
• Knowledge of WDM, AWGs, and resonant photonic devices is required.

Job description

You'll work across the full development cycle - from architecture and PIC design through simulation, tape-out, direct foundry collaboration and first-silicon validation.

Key Responsibilities

Your Background

• Strong silicon photonics / PIC design experience
• Successful PIC tape-outs and experience with foundry PDKs
• Strong knowledge of WDM, AWGs and/or resonant photonic devices
• Photonic simulation and layout verification experience
• MSc or PhD in Photonics, Electronic Engineering, Physics or similar
• Experience with CW-WDM, high-speed optical links, Lumerical, Cadence, Python or MATLAB would be advantageous.
