Job summary

Intellectual Capital Resources Ltd is seeking an experienced silicon photonics design engineer to own architecture, WDM planning and PIC integration. You will design AWGs, micro-rings, filters and multiplexers while driving tape‑outs and foundry sign‑offs for high‑speed optical links.

Applicants should have strong PIC design expertise, tape‑out experience, and familiarity with Lumerical, Cadence, Python or MATLAB. A MSc/PhD in Photonics or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong silicon photonics / PIC design experience.
• Experience with PIC tape-outs and foundry PDKs.
• Knowledge of WDM, AWGs or resonant photonic devices.
• Photonic simulation and layout verification experience.
• MSc or PhD in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Experience with CW-WDM and high-speed optical links is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

You’ll work across the full development cycle — from architecture and PIC design through simulation, tape‑out, direct foundry collaboration and first‑silicon validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the WDM architecture, wavelength plan and optical power budget
• Design and optimize AWGs, micro‑rings, filters and multiplexers
• Develop complex silicon photonic circuits for high-speed optical links
• Model loss, crosstalk, thermal drift and manufacturing variation
• Own foundry design reviews, tape‑out sign-off and silicon debug

Your background

• Strong silicon photonics / PIC design experience
• Successful PIC tape‑outs and experience with foundry PDKs
• Strong knowledge of WDM, AWGs and/or resonant photonic devices
