Fusion People Ltd. in Birmingham is seeking a Signalling Design Engineer for a rail client on a contract basis. The assignment is initially until 26/02/2027 with potential extensions, paying £400–£500 per day and IR35 outside. The role requires producing and checking complex signalling designs in line with industry standards.

You will liaise with stakeholders, support junior staff, and contribute to risk assessments of designs, helping ensure safe and compliant railway signalling solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification required.
• Experience with signalling design standards and specifications.
• Knowledge of Westlock / SSI data and control tables desirable.

Aufgaben

• Undertake design production/checking of the signalling detail design as per relevant standards and Signalling Design Specifications
• Perform complex railway signal design tasks to relevant standards, industry codes and practices
• Interact with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimum outcome
• Provide functional support and guidance to junior Design staff for all aspects of Signalling Design
• Assist in the risk assessment of planned and completed designs
