Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking an exceptional Shift Lead Maintenance Engineer in Westminster. The role requires line management of the shift engineers, hands-on technical leadership, and ensuring regulatory compliance of complex building systems including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems for life sciences operations.

The position offers a short-term contract (minimum one month) with hourly rates £30.99 Umbrella or £23.81 PAYE, and requires ensuring maintenance schedules,

Qualifications

• Experience in FM & Maintenance sector is essential.
• Experience in NHS/Healthcare environment is advantageous.
• Line management experience is required.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Line Management responsibility for the Shift engineer within the assigned shift Team.
• Provide technical and operational support and advice to the engineering team.
• Resolve escalations from the Helpdesk and the client within reasonable time ensuring solutions are implemented quickly and effectively.
• Ensure planned maintenance services are scheduled and completed on time.
• Ensure compliance documents contract and HTM logbooks are up to date and audit ready.
• Manage client/end user escalations and queries.
• Encourage reporting of hazards on site via the engineering team and sub-contractor supply chain.
• Ensure PPE, Uniform, Tools and Hazards are logged, monitored and managed.
• Lead system handovers during client onboarding and support 24/7 emergency technical requests.
