Job summary

Arla Foods at Stourton (Leeds) is seeking a Senior Shift Engineer to provide technical leadership across a highly automated dairy facility. You will lead from the front, solve complex faults and drive continuous improvement on shift, with a 4 on 4 off pattern and a strong safety culture.

We value time-served, apprentice-trained engineers with NVQ3/City & Guilds/ONC/HNC or equivalent, and experience in FMCG/food manufacturing. Join a team delivering high performance and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Time-served, apprentice-trained engineer with NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds/ONC/HNC or equivalent.
• Experience in FMCG or high-volume manufacturing environments is essential.
• Strong fault-finding capabilities across PLC-controlled equipment and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering response to breakdowns and provide advanced fault finding.
• Guide and support Shift Engineers on shift.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on PLC-controlled equipment.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance and drive reliability improvements.
• Champion health and safety standards and support site investments.
