Job summary

National Grid plc seeks a Senior SHE Advisor to support a portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects across Northwest London, driving SHES excellence and compliance. Based at Iver with site travel, you will coach teams, audit performance, and lead incident investigations to foster a strong safety culture.

You will apply NEBOSH-level knowledge, CDM principles and stakeholder management to improve health, safety and environmental outcomes across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in major construction/infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation in construction.
• Experience with CDM regulations and contractor assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Champion SHES culture across major projects.
• Provide SHES advice to project teams and contractors.
• Monitor contractor performance; conduct audits and assurance activities.
• Support incident investigations and lessons learned.
• Develop and implement project SHES plans aligned with strategy.
• Engage stakeholders to improve performance and manage risk.
• Support process safety and CDM compliance throughout lifecycle.
