Job summary

Elite Landscapes Ltd, a multi-award winning landscape contractor, seeks a proactive SHEQ Manager to lead safety, health, environment and quality across projects from tender to handover.

You will advise on UK legislation, plan inspections, manage RAMS, and mentor the SHE Apprentice while collaborating with Directors and site teams.

Role requires travel to project sites within the region; full-time permanent position with a strong focus on continuous improvement and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Elite's competent health and safety adviser on UK legislation and guidance; owns and continually improves SHEQ policies, RAMS and inspection systems.
• Plans and conducts proportionate inspections and audits across projects and maintenance operations; investigates incidents and reports findings.
• Maintains workforce consultation, toolbox talks and safety communications; holds stop-work authority for immediate or serious risk.
• Mentors the SHE Apprentice, providing structured development and competency sign-off towards independent practice.
