Job summary

Addition in Bristol is seeking a Senior Service Architect to lead service architecture, design and delivery across MoD bids. This highly client-facing role requires translating complex customer needs into practical, scalable services while influencing senior stakeholders and coordinating with partners and internal teams.

You will own service models, documentation and delivery lifecycles, with mandatory MoD experience and ITIL certification.

Job: Senior Service Architect

Location: Bristol

Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid, Full time

Salary: Up to £80k + bonus + benefits

We’re looking for a Senior Service Consultant / Service Architect to join a specialist Service Consultancy team, working closely with MoD customers across major bids, service design and technology transformation.

This is a highly client-facing role where you’ll act as an SME across service architecture, service management and service delivery, helping translate complex customer requirements into practical, deliverable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support and shape MoD bid and pre-bid activity


• Provide SME input across service architecture and service management


• Develop service models, design documentation and operational approaches


• Work closely with customers, partners and internal technical teams


• Support services across the full service delivery lifecycle


• Engage and influence senior stakeholders

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in Service Architecture, Service Design, Service Management or Service Delivery


• Direct MoD experience – essential


• Experience contributing to MoD bids / pre-bid activity


• Strong stakeholder and client-facing skills


• Experience producing service models, diagrams and supporting documentation


• ITIL certification – essential


• SAFe – desirable

You don’t need to be a deep technical architect — we’re looking for someone who understands how complex services are designed, integrated, operated and delivered.
