Hyperion Partners is working with an established residential property management business seeking a Senior Service Charge Accountant to join their team. Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience preparing year-end accounts in service charge or residential property management.
• At least two years in a team leader, supervisory or management role.
• Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, financial reporting, cash management and accounting controls.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office; familiarity with property management software like Qube.

• Lead and develop the service charge accounting team.
• Oversee daily activities and allocate workloads to meet deadlines.
• Support team with technical queries and complex issues.
• Conduct performance reviews and encourage professional development.
• Identify training needs and strengthen technical knowledge.
• Oversee preparation of annual service charge and RMC accounts.
• Prepare accounts for properties, issue service charges, and reconcile bank accounts.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor cash flow and escalate funding concerns.
• Coordinate ground rent payments and assist with budget reviews.
• Support corporation tax administration and related requirements.
• Ensure procedures and controls applied consistently and improve reporting.
• Provide management with updates on progress and risks.
