Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a Senior Sensory HLTA to work with children and young people who have a vision impairment within the Vision Impairment Team of the Specialist Teaching Service (STS). You will join a dynamic team and work under the direction of a Qualified Teacher of Vision Impairment.

The post involves managing a team of three Sensory HLTAs across Lancashire, supporting pupils in a range of settings including home, schools and colleges, and contributing to early SEND support.

Qualifications

• Lead a team of 3 Sensory HLTAs across Lancashire.
• Work under the direction of a Qualified Teacher of Vision Impairment.
• Support children and young people with vision impairment.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with vision impairment in a range of settings including home, schools and colleges.
• Collaborate with parents and other agencies to enhance SEND provision.
