Job summary

Senploy in Southall is seeking a Senior SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a busy school setting. You will lead targeted interventions, run 1:1 and small-group sessions, and contribute to EHCP targets and progress tracking.

You’ll work alongside teachers and the SENCO, developing skills in behaviour support, emotional regulation and collaborative practice within a long-term, full-time placement.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs in a busy school.
• Ability to contribute to plans and interventions for SEND.
• Strong observation and recording of pupil progress.
• Effective communication with teachers and the SENCO.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for targeted SEND interventions.
• Deliver structured 1:1 and small-group sessions.
• Support pupils working towards EHCP targets.
• Identify when activities need adapting.
• Track progress and maintain intervention records.
• Provide detailed observations to teachers and the SENCO.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour.
• Encourage communication, independence and social development.
• Share successful approaches with other support staff.
• Contribute to discussions around individual pupil support.
