Job summary

Mace is seeking a senior SEND architect to support multiple projects within its design and technical advisory team. The role focuses on education sector projects, requires SEND experience, and strong engagement with stakeholders. Proficiency in BIM/Revit, planning regulations, and buildability is essential.

Based in Bristol, the role includes regional site visits with flexible home-working 2-3 days a week. You will lead design coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, ensure timely delivery

Qualifications

• SEND school experience (MLD, SLD, PMLD, SEMH and autism schools).
• Strong stakeholder management skills in education projects.
• Positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication and ability to work autonomously.
• Team leader and team player.
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and statutory planning regulations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across RIBA stages.
• Manage workload, deliver information on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, cost managers and health and safety teams.
• Perform BIM/Revit tasks and adapt to policy/regulatory updates.
• Support delivery of education sector projects within the consultancy team.
