Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience representing a local authority or similar at SEND tribunals and mediations.
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with robust evidence preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex SEND tribunal and mediation cases.
• Represent the local authority at tribunal hearings and mediation meetings.
• Prepare high-quality tribunal documentation, evidence and case statements.
• Provide specialist advice to SEND casework officers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Acts and statutory timescales.
• Maintain accurate case records and collaborate with families, schools and legal representatives.
