Job summary

ASG Tech is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer / Technical Lead in Greater London to act as the senior technical authority, designing, delivering and maintaining high-quality electronic security solutions. This hands-on role combines customer engagement, pre-sales support, installation, commissioning and fault finding while guiding engineers and third-party resources.

Qualifications

• Time-served electronic security systems engineer with hands-on field experience.
• Strong experience with CCTV, intruder alarm and access control systems.
• Proven ability to design, install, configure, commission and fault-find complex electronic security systems.
• Experience with networked/IP-based systems and platform integration.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Eligible to be screened to BS 7858.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Managing Director during customer engagements, providing technical expertise and developing solutions.
• Undertake site surveys and translate requirements into system designs.
• Produce BOMs, labour estimates and technical inputs for quotations.
• Review designs, risk assessments and installation readiness.
• Lead installation, commissioning and on-site support.
• Manage third-party installers and ensure compliance.
• Ensure systems comply with BS EN standards and NSI certification.
