ESO in Belfast is building a leading security operations team. We are seeking a Senior Security Ops Engineer to monitor and respond to incidents, work across security, IT, development, and platform teams, and help enforce secure operations with autonomy and governance.

You will collaborate with engineers, mentor teammates, and contribute to critical product security. The role offers a hybrid working policy, training opportunities, and a supportive, forward-thinking environment in Northern

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a security or technical operations role.
• Hands-on with SIEM and EDR tools.
• Experience handling security alerts or incidents.
• Knowledge of patching and endpoint protection.
• IAM practices including MFA and conditional access.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies and collaborating with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, review, and respond to security alerts and events using core security tools.
• Ensure security controls are deployed and operating across the technology environment.
• Support incident response activities by following and improving security processes.
• Monitor systems for security and compliance issues and drive remediation.
• Maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) security practices.
• Collaborate closely with technology teams to strengthen security outcomes.
• Provide guidance on security-related questions to colleagues.
• Be an active member of a collaborative cyber security team with meaningful impact.
