Job summary

Ronald James Group is seeking a hands-on Senior Security Engineer to strengthen application security, AWS infrastructure and engineering practices for a platform used by millions. You’ll own vulnerability identification, fixes and security improvements across services and data stores in a fully remote UK setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security engineering experience.
• Experience securing AWS environments and IAM, ECS, Lambda.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate and remediate vulnerabilities across applications, APIs and dependencies.
• Secure AWS infrastructure, including IAM, ECS, Lambda, messaging and secrets management.
• Manage and optimise Wiz for security monitoring, alerting and remediation.
• Improve threat detection, investigate alerts and support incident response.
• Implement security controls using Terraform, CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Review database security across MongoDB and Snowflake.
• Use AI tools to accelerate security testing, investigation and remediation.
• Proven application security and vulnerability remediation experience.
