Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Designer within the Security and Technology Engineering team to lead high-level security engineering on major projects across Europe. You will oversee design across RIBA stages, integrating physical and electronic security systems with project teams worldwide.

The Buildings Engineering group includes ~400 engineers working on large-scale projects, with opportunities to influence major commercial, CNI, and mixed-use developments. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Security Engineering.
• RSES, CSyP, MSyI or PSP with CPD commitment.
• Relevant qualification in a security or engineering related discipline.
• Well-established expertise in Security Consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Manage high level technical and strategic security engineering services on new build and fit-out projects.
• Lead master planning for projects from city-level to mixed-use developments.
• Design physical security solutions including electronic locking, walling, glazing, doors, barriers, fencing.
• Create electronic security designs for video surveillance, access control, intruder detection, intercom systems.
• Provide counter-terrorism guidance, including Hostile Vehicle Mitigation, bomb blast, and ballistics.
