Job summary

Fidelity Integrated Systems Ltd in London is seeking a Senior Security and Fire Systems Service Engineer to join a friendly, motivated team. You will carry out corrective maintenance, fault finding, and on-site servicing across security and life-safety systems for commercial sites.

The role covers Greater London and Home Counties with an on-call rota and opportunities for progression. Benefits include a company vehicle, private medical insurance, a pension, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays,

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of integrated security and life-safety systems.
• Excellent understanding of electrical principles.
• Proven fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out corrective maintenance, fault finding and aim for first-time fixes.
• Complete remedial works and small installation tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance across a range of systems.
• Liaise professionally with clients on site.
• Work with monitored systems in coordination with Alarm Receiving Centre.
• Mentor junior engineers and apprentices.

Full-time, Monday to Friday - 08:00-17:00

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out corrective maintenance, including fault finding, troubleshooting and achieving first-time fixes wherever possible
• Complete remedial works and small installation tasks
• Perform preventative maintenance across a range of systems
• Liaise professionally with clients while on site
• Work with monitored systems in coordination with our Alarm Receiving Centre
• Represent Fidelity and the Ranger Group as a professional ambassador in the field
• Complete all site and electronic documentation accurately and promptly
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across all relevant disciplines
• Participate in ongoing internal and external training covering technical, regulatory and health and safety requirements
• Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and apprentices
• Take part in the out-of-hours on-call rota

Salary & Benefits

• £42,000 - £46,000, depending on skills and experience
• Company vehicle and fuel card
• Participation in on-call rota (approx. 1 week in 6)
• £385/week standby payment
• £90 for travel to site and first hour on site
• Standard overtime rate for subsequent hours
• Paid overtime at 1.5x standard hourly rate
