Job summary

Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London is seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner Scrub for Orthopaedics/Spinal. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a competitive salary of £46,195–£54,700 per year and excellent benefits. A Golden Hello of £3,000 or relocation support may apply.

You’ll join a busy theatre team delivering high-quality patient care across multiple suites. Applicants should hold RN 1st level registration (adult/child), HCPC/NMC registration, and relevant theatre

Qualifications

• RN – 1ST level Registration Adult and/or Children- is required.
• HCPC or NMC registration is required.
• Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies is required.
• ODP Level 3 NVQ is required.
• ODA 752 qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as part of the operating theatre team.
• Assist in positioning and preparing patients for procedures and label/dispatch specimens.
• Maintain infection control and asepsis per policy and ensure a clean work environment.
• Participate in induction and orientation for new staff.
• Assist team leaders with Personal Development Plans for junior staff.
• Prepare patients for anaesthetic and surgical procedures.
• Provide assistance in anaesthetic and surgical procedures.
• Deliver immediate post-operative care and initial emergency care as needed.
• Take charge of clinical area in absence of advanced practitioner.
• Ensure equipment is checked and faults reported promptly.
• Collaborate across the theatre suite to support team objectives.

Education

RN – 1ST level Registration Adult and/or Children-

HCPC OR NMC registered

Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies
