Job description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Senior Scrub Nurse/Surgical First Assistant to work at an outstanding private hospital in Central London. This hospital is part of one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.

The hospital is renowned for providing world-class medical services with a strong commitment to patient care and well-being.

Qualifications required:
Registered Nurse, SFA, or ODP with current active NMC/HCPC registration.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Assist in complex surgeries across specialties such as General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Plastics, Gynaecology, and Urology to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
2. Prepare and maintain the sterile environment to ensure patient safety and minimize infection risks.
3. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures to ensure smooth operations.
4. Support and mentor junior staff and students, promoting continuous learning.
5. Accurately document all perioperative care and interventions.

Preferred skills and experience:

• Extensive experience as a Scrub Practitioner in multiple specialties.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Salary and benefits:

• Up to £50,000 per annum.
• Permanent full-time role, 37.5 hours/week, with early and late shifts.
