TetraScience, Inc. is seeking a senior, hands-on Data Engineer to join its forward deployed teams.

You will work with biotech and pharmaceutical customers to design, build, and ship data products on Tetra OS, delivering integrations and AI-driven solutions across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments. You will mentor peers, lead design sessions, and collaborate with Product Managers and Solution Architects to turn objectives into commercialized data products.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in building data products as a Data Engineer or similar field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with focus on data, integrations, and scientific applications.
• Expertise in Python with working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node and React.
• History leading customer-facing implementation projects across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with non-clinical data and lab scientists.
• Familiarity with biotech/pharma industry and regulated environments (GxP).
• Familiarity with networking, CI/CD, and full stack development.
• Familiarity with cloud engineering on AWS (S3, Lambda, ECS, SQS, SNS, EC2, CloudWatch).
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and project delivery leadership.
• Ability to quickly understand a highly technical product and communicate with customers.

Responsabilités

• Act as a forward deployed engineer for a portfolio of biotech, pharmaceutical, and scientific customers.
• Own the technical relationship, understand scientific workflows, and deliver solutions.
• Drive AI agents to design bidirectional integrations between Tetra OS and customer systems.
• Design data schemas and parsers for scientific data from lab instruments and sources.
• Deploy and test solutions in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and ML engineers to build data products.
• Lead design sessions and enforce quality with test automation.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive improvements in process and tech.
