Job summary

St James's is seeking a Senior Science Technician to join the Science department on a permanent contract. The role involves coordinating practical resources, supporting the curriculum, and liaising with teaching and support staff.

The post is 37 hours per week, term time plus 10 days, with actual salary £24,718 to £27,248, and the higher SCP band (£28,142–£31,022) for progression. Applicants should be team players who communicate well with pupils and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Under the overall control of the Head of Science, to co-ordinate the use of practical resources and facilities and providing assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the Science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside of the department.
