Job summary

Preston Manor School in London is seeking a proactive Senior Science Technician to support the delivery of practical science across KS3 to KS5, with particular expertise in Chemistry. You will prepare equipment, materials and resources, and ensure laboratories are well organised and maintained for safe and effective practice.

Working closely with teaching staff and the technician team, you will manage stock control, ordering, equipment maintenance, chemical storage and health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience with stock control, equipment maintenance and chemical storage
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in line with CLEAPSS guidance

As aSenior Science Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the Sciencedepartment by preparing practical equipment, materials and resources, ensuringlaboratories are well organised and maintained, and enabling practical work tobe carried out safely and effectively. You will support the day-to-dayorganisation of the Science preparation areas and laboratories, including stockcontrol, ordering, equipment maintenance, chemical storage, and health andsafety procedures, in line with CLEAPSS guidance and school policies. Workingclosely with teaching staff and the technician team, you will help to supportengaging, high-quality practical Science across the curriculum.
