Job summary

King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy is seeking a Senior Science Technician to support a large science department for KS3-5. You will set up equipment for practical lessons and advise teachers on safe handling of resources and demonstrations.

The successful candidate will have experience preparing equipment in a school setting, be a confident communicator, and work well both independently and as part of a team. Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK are required.

• Previous experience in preparing equipment in a school science setting.
• Confident communicator with good collaboration skills.

King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy, a mixed 11-18 school, is seeking a Senior Science Technician for its large science department. The role centres on setting up equipment for practical science lessons across key stages 3 to 5 and advising teachers on safe use of resources, including support for demonstrations. Starting as soon as possible, the post asks for prior experience of preparing equipment in a school science setting. An enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK are required, and visa sponsorship is not available.
