Holroyd Howe is recruiting a Senior Sous Chef to lead the culinary team at Hoe Bridge School (Greenfield School) in Woking. The role focuses on creating exceptional menus, managing kitchen operations, and delivering outstanding meals for pupils, staff and visitors.

You will join a leading contract caterer dedicated to fresh, innovative food services for independent schools, with a strong emphasis on allergen control, training, and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract catering, ideally in independent education.
• Strong kitchen management and leadership ability.
• Passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create balanced menus.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, allergen management and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
• Manage and support a small kitchen team, fostering a positive working environment.
• Oversee menu planning, stock control, and supplier relationships.
• Maintain accurate financial records including budgets, ordering, and stock rotation.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding policies.
• Work collaboratively with the school community to provide a friendly and efficient catering experience.
• Accountability for following and championing allergen controls.
