Job summary

Devon County Council is seeking a school nurse post within the Single Point of Access Hub, covering Exmouth and Sidmouth. The role centers on leading and managing shifting workloads for children, young people and families, with safeguarding and multi-agency cooperation embedded in daily practice.

You will work with health visitors, staff nurses and community health workers, and must have a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing degree and an active driving licence.

Qualifications

• Specialist Community Public Health Nursing degree (health visitor or school nurse).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage changing, challenging workload priorities.
• Work in a corporate team rostered to the Single Point of Access Hub, covering a defined geographical area.
• Work in close partnership with community, voluntary and statutory agencies.
• Carry out multi-agency working and safeguarding of children as an integral part of the role.
• Work alongside health visitors, school nurses, staff nurses and community health workers.
• Deliver an excellent service to children, young people and families in the community.
