Job summary

Devon County Council is seeking a School Nurse to join the corporate teams, covering a defined geographical area via the Single Point of Access Hub. The role leads shifting workloads and partners with community and statutory agencies to safeguard children and families in the community.

You will work with health professionals and frontline staff to deliver high-quality care, with flexible working patterns within service hours and access to development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Specialist Community Public Health Nursing degree in health visiting or school nursing.
• First level NMC registration.
• UK right to work.
• Active driving licence.
• Access to a car for the role.
• Masters level qualification (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Work in corporate teams, rostered to the Single Point of Access Hub covering a defined geographical area.
• Lead and manage changing and challenging workload priorities.
• Build and maintain close partnership working with community, voluntary and statutory agencies.
• Carry out multi-agency working and safeguarding of children as an integral part of the role.
• Work alongside team leaders and health professionals, including health visitors, school nurses, staff nurses and community health workers.
• Deliver an excellent service to children, young people and families in the community.
