Job summary

Newcastle High School for Girls (NHSG) is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to supervise pupils in the dining hall during lunchtimes and support the Senior School’s pastoral team. Training will be provided by NHSG, and successful applicants will help maintain order, monitor pupils with dietary needs, and assist with the lunch queue.

This term-time role requires a vigilant approach to safety and the ability to supervise many pupils simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Proof of the right to work in the UK must be provided.
• All training will be provided by NHSG.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and supervision in the school dining room at lunchtimes.
• Oversee pupils with dietary needs as directed by the Pastoral Team and record observations on CPOMS when necessary.
• Supervise the clearing of tables and plates and support the Sixth Form Leadership team in managing the lunch queue and reporting concerns.
• Be able to watch many children at once and spot potential problems early.
