Are you an ambitious and experienced Underwriter ready to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile Delegated Authority / Schemes team in a pivotal role-working with a panel of established broker partners to troubleshoot issues, identify growth opportunities, and drive underwriting performance across a range of specialist schemes.

You'll be the key point of contact for technical referrals and complex risks, building strong relationships with brokers and using data and insights to improve performance, profitability, and long-term partnership value.
This is a perfect role for someone from either an insurer or broker background who thrives on accountability, collaboration, and wants to play a visible part in delivering strategic success.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing and enhancing relationships with delegated authority brokers across the UK.
• Acting as the lead referral point for underwriting queries and technical risks.
• Identifying areas for profitable development and improving underwriting practices.
• Supporting brokers with compliance, documentation, pricing, wordings, and underwriting guides.
• Driving efficiency, supporting scheme performance, and helping broker partners to grow.
• Contributing to overall business strategy with insight from your scheme portfolio.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience in Commercial Motor and/or Commercial Property & Liability underwriting.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to handle complex risks and mentor junior team members.
• A proactive mindset and commercial acumen-able to influence and challenge broker partners.
• A passion for adding value and driving continuous improvement.

What you'll get:

• Salary between £40,000 and £60,000 (depending on experience, skills and location)
• 10% bonus opportunity based on performance
