Job summary

Fortice Ltd. seeks a Senior Scala Engineer to drive the AttRep APIs for HMRC digital services from Stratford, London, on a hybrid basis. The role requires SC clearance and focuses on high-throughput, secure backend services and data attributes for fraud detection.

The engineer will design and implement scalable APIs, collaborate with product owners and data engineers, and contribute to maintainable, resilient systems in a lean, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and shape API delivery for AttRep Front End services to digital HMRC services.
• Design for high-volume, high-availability, low-latency systems.
• Improve existing AttRep services and reduce tech diversity via re-architecture.
• Write clean, testable back-end code and APIs; manage databases with security settings.
• Collaborate with product owner, data engineers and CIP teams to ideate software solutions.
