Job summary

The Config Team is seeking a Senior SAP AMS Support Consultant (SAP PP & MM) based in the UK. You will manage day-to-day client requirements, resolve incidents, and lead complex changes within an ITIL-aligned service framework. This is a senior, customer-facing role with coaching responsibilities for junior colleagues.

You will work with SAP PP and SAP MM, collaborating with delivery teams to drive improvements and ensure high-quality service delivery for global brands.

Qualifications

• Functional experience within SAP PP.
• Knowledge of SAP processes and best practice principles.
• Experience in an SAP AMS/support environment.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day client requirements including Service Requests, Incident Resolution and Problem Management per ITIL and SLAs.
• Lead complex changes, contribute to project delivery, and improve SAP-related processes.
• Collaborate with customers and delivery teams as a subject-matter expert.
• Coach and mentor less-experienced team members.

What You’ll Do

To delight our customers by exceeding their expectations in all aspects of support and service. The Config Team is an experienced and trusted SAP AMS partner. This is a senior, customer-facing role with responsibility for managing and delivering day-to-day client requirements, including Service Requests, Incident Resolution and Problem Management, in line with ITIL methodology and Service Level Agreements. The successful candidate will also lead complex changes, contribute to project delivery, resolve challenging issues and improve SAP-related processes. As a subject-matter expert, the Senior AMS Consultant will work closely with customers and colleagues across our delivery teams. The role also includes supporting the development of less-experienced team members through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing. To ensure the above is fully achievable for our clients you will need to have a strong knowledge and understanding of SAP MM, and SAP PP.

Required Skills

• Functional experience within SAP PP.
• Good knowledge on processes and best practice principles within specialist area of SAP.
• Background in an SAP support or SAP AMS environment.
• To be able to demonstrate problem solving abilities in SAP.
• Ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders in a support environment.
• A full valid UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desired Skills

• Functional and/or configuration experience within SAP SD and SAP MM.
• Experience of using or implementing mobile solutions either in SAP ITS or using a Third Party Product with SAP.
• Able to investigate issues and bugs.
