Job summary

Schroders is seeking a hands-on Principal Salesforce Engineer to design, build and deliver secure Salesforce solutions across our global platforms. You will own engineering standards, drive architectural governance, and mentor engineers while delivering high-quality code and robust integrations.

You will lead design through mobilisation to production support, champion DevOps maturity, and explore AI-enabled capabilities to enhance client journeys and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Salesforce development experience in a large financial services organisation.
• Expertise with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows and declarative configuration.
• Strong integration experience via REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
• DevOps tooling experience and release management on Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and hands-on development of Salesforce solutions across Public and Private businesses.
• Own engineering standards, code quality, and platform integrity; ensure maintainability and performance.
• Design and build integrations connecting Salesforce with upstream/downstream platforms.
• Drive CI/CD maturity: pipelines, automated testing, release management.
• Deliver proofs-of-value and proofs-of-concept to de-risk delivery and secure investment.
• Leverage AI capabilities like Salesforce Einstein to enhance productivity and engagement.
• Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, raise team capabilities.
