Senior Sales Solution Engineer

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum

We are looking for a Senior Sales Solution Engineer to support our growing business. You’ll be joining a team of technical experts with a proven history of smart, innovative software. Based in Central London, we offer a competitive salary, great atmosphere and lovely people.You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working on a hybrid basis with at least one day per week in our Cheapside office.

The Senior Sales Solution Engineer Role:

Combining IT and business skills, the Senior Sales Solutions Engineer will work alongside Ruleguard’s existing Principal Solutions Engineer and experienced team of RegTech Solutions Consultants to help secure deals from both new and existing clients within the banking and capital markets industry - including investment banks/brokerages, asset and wealth management, custodians, and third-party administrators.

The role focuses on identifying customer business objectives, analysing needs and challenges, extracting requirements from regulatory documents, and designing the most appropriate solution to address key pain-points.

Key Responsibilities of our Senior Sales Solution Engineer:

  • Deliver impactful demos that effectively showcase our product and solutions.
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for learning and an innate curiosity.
  • Leverage a consultative approach, diving deep into the details.

Job Specification:

  • Work alongside our experienced Sales Team, attend meetings with potential existing clients and new prospects to determine technical and business requirements and ensure that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution.
  • Analyse and comprehend client business scenarios, data samples, and technical documentation to support productive problem solving and solution design.
  • Create and confidently deliver presentations internally and externally.
  • Support training on solutions and provide product support to clients and internal stakeholders. Strategic Software Applications Ltd (‘Ruleguard’) 10 Queen Street Place, London, EC4R 1AG
  • Prepare and present product demonstrations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend proof of concept opportunities.
  • Work with the Product Team to provide feedback on issues with current products and input around new products.

Your Knowledge and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Sales Solutions Engineer position within RegTech.
  • Experience in financial markets required, with strong preference given to regulatory and compliance experience.
  • Knowledge of general software architecture and inter-operability.
  • Knowledge of the audit, governance and risk landscape would be a bonus.

Yours Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to present & demonstrate complex software.
  • A lateral thinker with good judgment and a practical understanding of the sales process; strong analytical, deduction and research skills.
  • Experience with processing data and incorporating into demos.
  • Entrepreneurial, energetic, driven to make a difference, resilient, focused and strong use of initiative.
  • Ability to manage internal pre-demo process with sales stakeholders.
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Articulate, with excellent presentation skills.
