Job summary

Heron Foods Limited in Forest Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Senior Part-Time Sales Assistant to lead the store, ensuring smooth daily operations and outstanding customer service.

You’ll motivate the team, keep shelves tidy, support stock deliveries, and step in as keyholder when management isn’t on site, with a strong focus on delivering store goals.

This permanent, part-time role offers 18 hours per week and up to £13 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in retail or hospitality.
• Able to act as keyholder and manage store in absence of management.
• Strong customer service and team-motivating abilities.

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Part-Time Sales Assistant, you’ll take on a key leadership role to keep the store running smoothly and successfully. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and motivating the team to deliver exceptional results.
• Ensuring high standards of customer service and resolving queries effectively.
• Maintaining an impeccable store presentation with well-stocked and tidy shelves.
• Assisting with stock management and overseeing deliveries.
• Acting as a keyholder and taking responsibility for the store in the absence of management (including store openings and closes).
