There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Northern Home Counties Division are looking to recruit a Senior Sales Advisor to join the Division’s sales team.

The Role

The role of a Senior Sales Advisor is responsible for carrying out all of the sales aspects involved in the day-to-day running of the development, whilst being the first line of support for Sales Advisors and assisting Sales Managers. The role involves achieving or exceeding sales targets as well as effectively progressing reservations through contract exchange and legal completion. This is all whilst ensuring the highest level of service is provided to all customers.

Overall principle accountabilities of the role include:

  • Be the first line of support for Sales Advisors, whilst giving assistance to Sales Managers. Assist sales management team and provide cover in the event of any Sales Manager’s holidays/sickness
  • Support the sales management team in training, coaching, mentoring, and development of Sales Advisors in all aspects of their role, including working closely with new Sales Advisors to assist/complete their induction process
  • Effectively utilise Bellway’s CRM system, including maintaining accurate records and provide enhanced knowledge and experience of CRM/Sales Monitor to benefit other users of the system
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets, as defined by senior management and the general presentation of the site and ensuring it is maintained to a high standard
  • Liaise with customers, solicitors, and financial advisors on a regular basis to ensure timely contract exchange and legal completions and ensure that all relevant knowledge is acquired to be able to give full and accurate information
  • Proactively work with Sales Managers and colleagues to propose ideas to achieve increased sales
  • Guide customers around show homes, stock plots, and site to fully demonstrate the product and its features and benefits and ensure all site visitors have been made aware of Bellway’s Health and Safety Policy and they are always accompanied by a Bellway representative
  • Liaise with Site Manager to ensure all customer meetings are arranged in a timely manner
  • Assist customers post completion with any repairs or customer issues

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

Experience:

  • Experience of working within the housebuilding industry would be beneficial
  • Experience of delivering an excellent customer experience
  • Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience of property sales and marketing process
  • Ability to develop a thorough knowledge of the home buying/conveyancing process
  • Experience of dealing with people in a customer-focused environment including home visits
  • Experience of establishing effective working relationships with other property professionals and outside agencies

Qualifications and Training:

  • Current full UK driving licence
  • Access to a vehicle for business use as required

Skills and Aptitude:

  • Ability to use own initiative to plan, prioritise, and organise work in order to meet sales/completion targets
  • Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and have good interpersonal skills

The Role and Working Conditions

Predominantly a site-based role but with travel to divisional offices as required

Flexible approach with regard to working hours and location, including weekends and occasional evenings as required
