Support the safe operation of existing PWR and AGR power stations, contributing to carbon-free electricity generation and defueling phases, supporting safety cases to extend operating lives and achieve Net Zero. Alternatively, be part of developing safety cases for the UK’s first new build in decades, contributing to projects that will power 6 million homes for 60 years, aiding the UK’s climate goals.
The Design Authority (DA) develops and maintains the nuclear safety case throughout the plant lifecycle. As an experienced Safety Case Engineer in a new build project, you will lead technical development and support construction, commissioning, and operation, working with multidisciplinary teams and external regulators.
In our Nuclear Generation business, you will maintain safety cases supporting normal and fault scenarios during operation and defueling, ensuring compliance within a regulated environment. You will have opportunities to develop across technical and plant disciplines.
Key attributes include:
A minimum of HNC or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline is advantageous; some roles may require mandatory qualifications.
