Satalia, a UK-based AI and data science company, is hiring a Senior Rust Engineer to lead a high-performance Rust project. You will ship robust Rust software regularly and help shape AI-centric products within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

The role focuses on distributed data processing, cloud deployments with IaC, and collaboration with customers and internal teams to design scalable services. A strong Rust background and willingness to refactor are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience developing with Rust.
• Strong proficiency in low latency data handling and data transformation.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scaling and resilience.
• Experience building and managing containerised solutions on one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with TDD/BDD, Microservices, Distributed Systems, Event-driven architectures, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.

Responsabilités

• Working on a new project focused on leveraging Rust for high-performance distributed data processing.
• Creating new features and improving robustness, performance and resilience of the existing Rust codebase.
• Solving complex business problems by designing and implementing robust code and cutting edge optimisation algorithms.
• Collaborating with internal project owners and customers to design and develop services.
• Building and managing scalable cloud software solutions with full IaC in a GCP container environment.
• Working with cutting-edge technologies in ML, optimisation and AI.
