Job summary

Land & Sea Resources Limited seeks a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to support the Morecambe Hub in Barrow-in-Furness. You will provide specialist rotating equipment engineering across onshore/offshore assets, focusing on reliability, integrity and safe operation.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, root cause analysis and contributing to maintenance strategies, capital projects, and risk assessments such as HAZOP/LOPA, with oversight of contractors and vendors to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

Degree level education, preferably MEng in Mechanical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
Proven experience in onshore and offshore oil & gas operations and asset integrity.
Strong knowledge of rotating equipment used in oil & gas production.
Understanding of materials, corrosion mechanisms and reliability engineering.
Experience with offshore safety cases and permit-to-work systems.
Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO and DNV standards.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot rotating equipment issues and conduct root cause analysis.
Support preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and condition monitoring.
Contribute to capital projects, equipment specifications, design reviews and commissioning.
Review and approve rotating equipment work scopes, and oversee contractors/vendors.
Support turnaround, commissioning and start-up activities; participate in safety studies and risk assessments (HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA).
Contribute to management of change processes and assess technical/operational impact of changes.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation (drawings, datasheets, calculations, procedures).
