Staff Match Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Room Leader for a lovely nursery in Enfield, Greater London. The role requires strong communication and organisational skills, and a solid working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.

You will work with the nursery manager, supervise staff, manage learning records, and plan engaging activities for children both indoors and outdoors, while maintaining safeguarding standards. 40 hours per week with UK-wide DBS checks.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification is required.
• Experience working in a childcare setting and supporting children's development.
• Desirable: Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Desirable: Paediatric First Aid.

Responsabilités

• Work closely with the nursery manager to ensure a safe, secure learning environment.
• Manage staff supervisions and performance appraisals, identify training needs.
• Direct staff in the room and maintain appropriate adult/child ratios.
• Observe children and manage learning/development records.
• Plan activities using the EYFS Curriculum, indoors and outdoors.
• Act as a keyworker and maintain records for each child.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety policies.
• Attend parents' evenings, open days, and school events; participate in staff meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and work across a 40-hour week.

Are you an experienced level 3 Senior Room leader looking for a new challenge? If the answer is “YES” then to join a lovely nursery in based in Enfield, Greater London Candidates will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a good working knowledge of EYFS Curriculum.

Person Specification:

NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification

Experience of working in a childcare setting and supporting children's development

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)

Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Responsibilities:

Some of the Senior Room leader responsibilities will include:

• To work closely with the nursery manager and ensure the nursery is a safe, secure environment for children to learn and grow.
• To manage staff supervisions & performance appraisals, identifying training needs
• Supporting and directing staff in the room and ensuring adult/child ratios are met
• Observing children and managing their learning and development records
• To work with EYFS Curriculum and planning exciting age appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors
• Working as a keyworker reviewing, maintaining and updating records for each child
• To build positive relationships parents and careers
• Working to nursery policy and procedures in relation to Safeguarding, Health & Safety
• Attending parent's evenings and par take in open days, sports days, summer fairs etc.
• Attending staff meetings and training as required
• To maintain confidentiality
• Working 40 Hours per week
