Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within roofing, construction or building-envelope projects.
• Strong experience with flat and pitched roofing systems is essential.
• Proven ability to manage commercial construction contracts valued between £1m and £5m.
• Experience working with main contractors on commercial, industrial or public sector projects.
• Strong commercial awareness, including cost control, variations, procurement and contract delivery.
• Excellent organisational, communication and client relationship management skills.
• Good understanding of construction health and safety, RAMS and quality assurance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate site teams and subcontractors effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of roofing and building-envelope contracts from pre-construction through to completion.
• Oversee flat and pitched roofing projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Take commercial ownership of contracts, including cost control, valuations and variations.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, labour, materials, plant, craneage and deliveries to meet programme requirements.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with main contractors, clients and project stakeholders.
• Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, Method Statements, RAMS and health and safety requirements.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure completed works meet the required standards.
• Attend client and main contractor meetings, providing regular updates on programme and commercial matters.
• Prepare, review and update RAMS where required, and deliver Toolbox Talks to site teams and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, managing project risks and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
