Job summary

Humanoid in London is seeking a Software Engineer for the Control Team. You will own measurement of control quality per robot and across the fleet, turning qualitative assessments into reproducible metrics and building pipelines from recorded data, simulation runs and live telemetry.

Qualifications

• Robotics experience on real systems and data timing/synchronisation.
• Strong Python and modern C++ for real-time control codebases.
• Experience building test automation, evaluation frameworks or benchmarking infra.
• Solid measurement, data analysis judgement; know when differences are real.
• Familiarity with ROS/ROS2, CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Translate control quality concerns into precise, computable metrics and build pipelines from robot data, simulations, and telemetry.
• Own metric definitions and versioning for long-term comparability.
• Develop automated test harnesses that deterministically evaluate control releases.
• Integrate control evaluation into CI across simulation and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Build tooling to compare controller variants and releases side by side.
• Create per-robot and fleet test suites to verify performance and health dashboards.
