Job summary

Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Robotic, Colorectal & General Surgery to work closely with the Colorectal Clinical Lead. The role focuses on fast-tracking diagnosis, initiating investigations, and formulating initial management plans for acute surgical cases.

Responsibilities

• Have a continuing responsibility for the clinical care of patients in his/her charge and for the proper functioning of the department.
• Deliver a high quality responsive surgical service to the patients who use it.
• Be responsible for providing emergency support to patients as appropriate.
• Undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the running of a clinical department.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current surgical practice.
• Maintain their professional development with all available training opportunities and ensure compliance with mandatory training.
• Responsible for the surgical patient flow in ED.
