Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to build, scale, and operate data collection and labeling interfaces for researchers and annotators. You will own both frontend and backend systems, design scalable data pipelines, and partner with RL researchers to translate data needs into production-ready tools.

You will shape interfaces, APIs, and dashboards that ensure data quality and low latency, while balancing reliability with experimentation.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack engineering skills with production experience in TypeScript/React on the frontend and Python on the backend.
• Experience designing and operating backend services and data pipelines used by other teams.
• Track record of owning projects end-to-end from ambiguous briefs to production.
• Ability to work with technical stakeholders and balance user needs with engineering practicality.
• Experience using AI tools in day-to-day work.
• Experience with RLHF, human-feedback pipelines, or related data tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the frontend interfaces used by annotators and researchers.
• Develop backend services and data pipelines that support data collection and training.
• Own reliability, latency, and usability of systems running against live model endpoints.
• Collaborate with RL researchers to translate data needs into campaigns and tooling.
• Create dashboards, monitoring, and inspection tools to assess data quality and throughput.
• Identify bottlenecks between data requests and training and address them.
• Build data collection campaigns and tooling to support research without excessive coding.
