Job summary

Timeline is a remote-first fintech helping advisers manage retirement planning and investments. We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to lead enterprise risk management, KRIs, resilience, and third-party risk oversight within the Risk and Compliance team.

Reporting to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, you will embed the risk framework, drive governance, and work cross-functionally to strengthen controls while maintaining pace in a fast-growing business.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a risk management role within a FCA-regulated investment environment.
• Experience designing and embedding enterprise risk management frameworks, including risk registers, KRIs and appetite statements.
• Hands-on experience with operational resilience and BCP/DR testing.
• Familiarity with Consumer Duty, SM&CR and third-party risk management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain top-down and bottom-up risk assessments and registers; engage with stakeholders across the business.
• Review and maintain risk appetite statements and KRIs; align thresholds to risk appetite.
• Implement third-party risk frameworks and oversight suitable for scale and complexity.
• Maintain and enhance incident investigation processes with timely escalation and root cause analysis.
• Review and update Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery arrangements; test arrangements.
