Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Risk Manager to lead risk management on a major Offshore Wind capital project. You will own the risk approach, manage QCRA/QSRA, and collaborate with Project Services, Managers and the Capital Projects team to drive informed decisions.

The role offers hybrid work with 50% site presence in Reading or other SSER locations, and a competitive salary with a performance-related bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the risk management function on major projects.
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of complex project information for senior management.
• Experience running quantitative risk analyses and presenting outputs clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project risk standards, tools and processes.
• Lead QCRA and QSRA to define contingency requirements and live risk views.
• Identify and implement risk mitigation strategies with project teams.
• Support decision-making by aligning risk position with the business case.
• Engage with leadership and external stakeholders to summarize risk clearly.
